Personal Statement

Since leaving university in 1998, I have worked extensively on community based and professional performance art projects and productions.  I am well experienced in the design, delivery, management and evaluation of theatre projects with diverse aims and objectives and can tailor projects to clients needs.

 

My work has allowed me to be innovative, motivated, inspired and I feel I have a strong creative energy which, when coupled with good leadership and facilitation skills, ensured that each project was successful and enjoyable.

Design, production and distribution of marketing and promotional material.  Networking. Writing proposals and liaising with clients on specific project briefs. Planning and delivery of drama and movement workshops. Theatre directing, production, scriptwriting and adaptation.  Accounts and bookkeeping including tax returns.  Writing funding applications.

Duties included writing proposals in accordance with client briefings including artistic vision, timescale and budgets. Collating and gathering evidence for and the writing of evaluation reports.  Managing budgets, associate artists and resources.  Planning, management and delivery of large and small scale arts projects within community settings with varied age and client groups.  Sourcing and making applications for project funding when required.
